My name is Skippy, like the peanut butter. In fact that is exactly how I got my name. See, I have had a pretty rough life up until I came to live at the shelter. I was left abandoned with my brother after our family moved away. My brother got rescued first, but they didn't find me. About a week later a neighbor noticed me through a window with a jar stuck over my head. Someone came and rescued me, but it was obvious I had been living with the peanut butter jar on my head for several days. I was emaciated, dehydrated, covered in cooking oil and near death. With lots of food, several baths and some TLC I pulled through and recovered from my ordeal. I'm a big healthy guy now, but still bear some emotional scars from what I went through. I'm not the most trusting when it comes to human contact, but will allow you to pet me. I would do best in a quiet home without a lot of chaos where I can learn to trust someone again. Another cat as a companion would be nice too. Could you be the one to turn my life around and give me the love I have been missing?
